Call was canceled by the message filter

Problem

When you run a scheduled task you get the following error:

Call was canceled by the message filter.

HRESULT error: RPC_E_CALL_CANCELED (0x80010002)

Cause

The system prevented the task from running due to the user permissions the task runs under.

Solution

• Grant the user account the task runs under Log on as a batch job rights:
  KB: How to give a user Log on as a batch job rights
• In the task settings, reenter the password for the account which the task runs under.
• Run the task under the same user account which you used to configure SmartFTP.
