Root Folder Issues?

I recently purchased smart ftp. I had originally just been using the trial version for the past year. Once I made the switch last week I have not been able to work smart. I am only able to view the root folder. I have contacted my host and they said this problem has nothing to do with the hosting, it is a Smart problem.

Do you know how I can get of just being able to view the root folder?
