License error: License exhausted

Problem

During the activation you get the following error:
License error: License exhausted, cannot allow another instance

Solution

1. Purchase licenses for the additional users / installations
   OR
2. Deactivate an existing activation you no longer use. This will release an activation which will allow you to make a new activation.
