History Toolbar Doesn't Accept New IP's That Are "Mostly Ambiguous"

When using the History Toolbar, if there is an item already in the history, say "" and then the IP address "" is entered (ambiguous minus the last number), the history toolbar will automatically change it to the value stored in history: "" which is not the IP address that was asked for. Once the item is in the history it can be accessed, but the first time access requires the use of the "New Remote Browser" window to get it to open.
