For version 3.0.1012.5 and the version prior to that, I'm having a problem when trying to remote edit files. If I select Edit With: Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 or Visual Web Developer 2008,
A) the file is transferred to the local temp dir,
B) an entry is added in the Transfer Queue with status = Monitoring,
C) the specified application is started, but ...
D) there is no file open.
It does work if I just do View With these editors (i.e., the application does open with a local copy of the specified file; no Transfer Queue entry is added).
If I use notepad or WordPad for View With or Edit With, it also works as expected.
I've checked permissions on the directories, but couldn't think of any other resaons why Viewing works and Editing doesn't with the two apps I want to use.
Any help would be appreciated.

Another machine experiencing the same problem is running the previous version of SmartFTP (from SFTPMSI.EXE as of Apr 1, 2008) and Windows Vista Business.
