G6 FTP Server compatibility, secure login; installation

The Gene6 FTP Server seems like a fine application. Do you know if SmartFTP "plays nice" with it?

Does the SmartFTP client library support the secure login methods provided by the Gene6FTP Server: MD5 or SHA-1 hash, or OTP S/KEY MD5? Or is this not so important because the password is sent over a secure connection?

Finally, how does one install the library on an end-user system? What files are required? Just copy over sfFTPLib.dll and regsvr32 that?

Thanks in advance,
-Mike

Hello ...

SmartFTP FTP Library is working together with the Gene6 FTP Server software. OPT S/KEY (MD5, SHA1) is supported.

To deploy the ftp library you need to register sfFTPLib.dll. On Windows XP systems you could use the SxS (Side by Side) approach.
For Windows 9x installations the unicows.dll (Unicode Layer) is required as well.
