Calculating file size with out reading the contents

Hi,
Here i have a requirement to calculate the file size which is placed in the Batch FTP External System.Condition here is we need to calculate file size with out reading file contents.The FTP environment can be either windows,AIX UNIX or HP UNIX.Can anyone please give idea to calculate?

Hello ..

This works without a problem with the FTP Library. In what programming language do you need the application? We can probably write a simple application for you for free.
