Hello,

I try to log onto my FTP server but if this works without my firewall, it fails once this one is turned on. I use Norton Firewall 2003. When trying to connect using my firewall I get the following message:

Smart FTP v1.5.990.2
Resolving host name "ftp.languagewizard.com"
Connecting to 213.186.33.19 Port: 21
Connected to ftp.languagewizard.com.
Server closed connection

Using the Help section provided with my product. I found that I had to create an inbound TCP rule for the following ports 21 1024 & 5000 and an outbound TCP rule for the port 22. I did so but I'm still facing the same problem.
Has anybody been facing the same problem and solved it?

Please post your license key for premium support.

Adding SmartFTP to the exception list in the firewall configuration should do it.
