As per subject, does SmartFTP run on Apple Mac running OSX Panther operating system?

Someone advised me to get this programme, if not can anyone recommend one for the Mac?

I've used Transmit for years on my Mac. It's so reliable and easy to use that I almost dont notice that I am using it.
