Stuck in queue

I've been using SmartFTP for long time. However, at least for the last couple weeks every time I transfer a file or files, it's oftenly got stuck in the queue. I have to abort the process then start it manually. I tried to be patient but now I'm fed up because it's just too often. If it's just once in a while it's still ok. Now it's becoming very tedious and annoying. I need help if there is any setup that I can do to prevent this from keep happening. I do not want to upgrade to 4.0 because my maintenance period has been long expired and I can't spend more money just because of this. Below is the system info of my SmartFTP:

Not a good practice of doing business. You force your customers to keep buying your product not because they need it, but because of the error of your product. It seems I will have no choice but to go with xyz.
