Transfer of files fail on SFTP

I seem to be having a problem with the latest version of SmartFTP. I can not upload files to my SFTP server anymore. The transfer fails or SmartFTP locks up completely. Other FTP clients work just fine as well as Dreamweaver CS4.

I'm running SmartFTP v4.0.1091 64bit on a Windows 7 64bit machine. The FTP server is TitanFTP.

Thank you!

Please post the log from the transfer. You can get it by double clicking the file in the transfer queue.

What version of Titan FTP server are you using?

Titan is completely up to date. Version 8 Build 1036. As I mentioned, the other two FTP clients I use seem to work just fine, SmartFTP only stopped working after I upgraded to the latest version.

Also just an FYI, I tried making setting changes to the ftp server before I posted this request with no success. I've also tried SFTP v3 and v6, both fail. v3 seems to lock up SmartFTP completely, the task stays in memory and eventually needs to be manually shut down in task manager. It kills system performance, everything becomes jumpy. v6 at least just feeds back the error above and doesn't lock up SmartFTP.

Can you send the log with version SFTP version 3.

Oh yeah, also, I get a directory listing and that seems to work just fine. It's just when I go to transfer a file it looks like it's going to transfer but then stops at 0.

And again the task was still in the processes list taking up 50% of my CPU.

I will look into it.

Unfortunatly that doesn't seem to have fixed the problem. I can try SFTP v3 again if you like.

Yes, 3 works now... 6 does not though. Thanks for getting this back up and running for the time being.

I believe its a bug in Titan FTP Server server's protocol 6 implementation, respectively the SFTP component they use.
