1. Go to the transfer queue window
2. Double click the file that is not uploading
3. Post the log shown in the dialog from 2.

Check the status of your transfer in the transfer queue window. Then post the log from the transfer. To get it double click the file in the transfer queue window.

It never adds the file to the transfer queue window.

I am using SmartFTP 4.0.1080.0 Home Edition.

I downloaded the beta version last week and had the same problem. I resolved the problem by uninstalling the beta version and installing the previous one (4.0.1072.0).

I have installed SmartFTP 4.0.1081.0 Home Edition and am back with the problem again.

I try to upload files but they never get to the transfer queue, here's the log (drag and drop or whatever way I try) ...

Going back to V4.0.1072.0 for now

You're not alone Bob.

Bob: Try the suggestion in my last post. 1081 is the newest and you need to uninstall SmartFTP first.

just top follow up I downgraded to the older version and resolved my problem as well. Seems highly likley that this is a bug in the current release.

Issue: Folder is moved to the transfer queue when the transfer queue is paused. folder disappers from the queue and the log details 550: File not found

I just uninstalled 1080 and re-installed 1081 (Home) but still I'm having the same issue:

The system cannot find the file specified.

I'm also using Win 7 ultimate 64-bit

Jim: This is the standard message. But the question is, is the file being added to the transfer queue.

I am still having the same problem, the file is not being added to the message queue.

Jimij

The attempted file to upload never added to the transfer queue. It's just like nothing happened, unlike the trial version that worked perfectly.

We have a fix. stay tuned.

The fix is now available in the latest version (Build 1082):

The transfer queue works but now the files are zero length up on the ftp server. Is there somewhere to download previous versions of smartftp so I can have a functioning ftp client again?

BobFromAccounting

2010-03-04 03:52:42

Confirmed, this version works.

Interestingly, the same messages about not being able to find the file still shows up, in triplicate, but then the file is added to the queue and the transfer is executed.

Also, copy and paste, and right-click -> upload work,
however drag and drop into the window does not.

Thanks for the fix
