550 Error

I am new to using this as a way to get software I purchase to work properly so please bare with me. I just created an folder and ftp assest to it, when I go to upload files into to folder after I connect per ftp
I am getting this error:
[01:33:22] CWD /home/hostohio/public_html
[01:33:24] 550 Can't change directory to /home/hostohio/public_html: No such file or directory
[01:33:24] Transfer failed.
Can someone tell me whats going on with this software.
I have used ws ftp for years and switch several months ago to smartftp.
I have permission set to 777 on the folders

Does the following folder appear in the remote browser:
/home/hostohio/public_html

If yes I would contact your web hosting and ask them for assistance. Send them the same log as you posted here.

I try using the software Ws FTP on my other pc and it works great, would the problem still be on my server, when I right click on the properties of the ftp account in the browser window the permission is set to 0, all of the other quick connect accounts properties is set at 755

just in case you misunderstand, on the server the folder permission is set at 777

The server does not allow you to change into the following directory:
/home/hostohio/public_html

Please post the complete log from your transfer.

Just so you know the path I use in setting up my quick connect to the folder is: /home/public_html/larryb

I logged into your server and it's all good. What you need to do is to remove the path from the favorite or when you open a new connection (File->New Remote Browser) leave the Path input field empty.
