Unable to login to server

Hi,

Until my FTP serveraccount was filled up with a lot of data to to retrieve SmartFTP was working perfect!
Looking with another client I can see there are about 480 files for me to retrieve but SmartFTP does not allow me to login any more.
The only logging I get is:

It looks like there is some timeout on the LS. When I use another application a LS takes about 25 till 59 seconds to give an answer...

Any idea which setting to tweak ???

Best regards,

Martin

Installed the beta version (with some nagging from Windows installer at the end) but althought the timeout takes longer, the endresult is still the same...

Thanks in advance,

Increase the timeout from 30 seconds to something like 120 seconds.

You can change the timeout in the favorite properties in the Connection dialog.

Mat

Nope does not look like it does anything...

Before changing the config...
[Login details removed...]

[11:18:34] Connected to test.sftp.abnamro.gxs.com.
[11:18:34] RTT: 117.381 ms
[11:18:34] SFTP protocol version 3
[11:18:34] Detected Server Software: Unknown
[11:18:34] Resolving path "/ADR00007".
[11:18:35] Path successfully resolved.
[11:18:35] Reading directory "/ADR00007".
[11:18:49] 0 bytes transferred. (0 bytes/s) (00:00:14)
[11:18:49] Server closed connection

After changing the config (both timeouts are set at 120 seconds)...
[Login details removed...]

[11:20:42] RTT: 110.315 ms
[11:20:42] SFTP protocol version 3
[11:20:42] Detected Server Software: Unknown
[11:20:42] Resolving path ".".
[11:20:42] Path successfully resolved.
[11:20:42] Resolving path "/ADR00007".
[11:20:43] Path successfully resolved.
[11:20:43] Reading directory "/ADR00007".
[11:20:52] 0 bytes transferred. (0 bytes/s) (00:00:09)
[11:20:52] Server closed connection

Also note that as of today (with no changes again from my side) the timeout is around 9 seconds...

Best regards,

Martin

Can you provide a test account on the server? From the log it seems that the server disconnects the client and no timeout happens.

Can we move to a less public way of communicating for login credentials ???
For example use the email as registered ???

Best regards,

Martin

Yes of course. You can contat us at support at smartftp.com
