smartftp hangs with high 99% cpu usage

Hello mb

smartftp
- when downloading from the queue it hangs with a very high cpu usage 97% to 99%
- takes about 128 MB of memory

when this happens
- the whole system is affected (slow, unable to stream media etc...)
- It's very difficult to close smartftp because it usually does not respond before minutes to any menu click.

my smartftp usage
- I only use smartftp to download content from 1 unique location (same IP accross the net)
- Files I am downloading are ~ 150MB - 170MB
- smartftp is setup to download a folder using the queue system scheduled, recurring every 15 minutes

my PC usage
Reading in other posts, people having trouble with crashes or hangs, I think this is an important information:
- I am using a media stream server application: DivX Connected (http://labs.divx.com/Connected)
This application is monitoring the same folder location where I am downloading the content with smartftp

It seems the problem does not occur if this application is not running (However, I haven't tested much with this application not running)

Let me know if you need any other information and what I could do to help you figuring out this issue

this issue maybe related to the previous topic from dersimli https://www.smartftp.com/forums/index.ph ... opic=15747

Can you try this again with the latest version?
https://www.smartftp.com/download

I would also recommend to install SP3 for Windows XP. It probably does not fix the problem you see but it fixes many other known problems.

Please do some more testing with the DivX application closed to verify your assumption that the problem is caused by this application.
