Now that I have assessed and approved SmartFTP, I realise that I would have benefitted from the ability to encrypt on send/ de-encrypt on receive to my remote server and really should have opted for the Pro version. I was embarking on the Upgrade path when I realised this would cost almost the same price again; yet the difference in purchase price is closer to 10$! viz:- "SmartFTP Client Upgrade Single User License (1Y Maintenance) $24.95" !!!
I guess the coding is already downloaded so the 'release' fee seems extortionate; any comments - or sympathy? Why not something much closer to the purchase difference?
Can't justify the extra so will have to stick with PGP protection.
