New user

Been using the free version for some time now and since you no longer offer this version, we have purchased the home version to continue using. We have received the license key email and have confirmed with your instructions. When we get taken to SmartFTP, it automatically brings us to our free version, complete will all our log in details already there. It will not connect, it tells us the following:-

Connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond aftger a period of time or established connection failed because because connected host has failed to respond.

This is the first time we have encountered this problem and despite numerous attempts to get into FTP we are still unable to do so. As this is urgent can someone please offer a resolution?

Incidentally we are not very computer savvy and therefore any instructions need to be pretty basic.

Please post the complete log (the place where it says Connection attempt failed etc) here.

I think you are using the wrong host name or there is another problem on the server side:

C:\Users\mb>ftp host535.ipowerweb.com
