XML file opens every time I use a favorite

The title says it all. When I open a favorite, the xml file opens. Very annoying. How can I get it to stop?

1. Uninstall SmartFTP
2. Install the latest version from: https://www.smartftp.com/download

Hi,
I've done the uninstall/reinstall, to no avail. I still have the xml file popup every time. Any ideas?

It's very likely a problem with your system. Try to reinstall your operating system and try again.
