Wise and Witty FTP Studs,

I am trying to upload a file that is 564 MB.

It connects and starts uploading like a champ. Everything is shiny and happy.

When it gets to the point at which 153 MB (+/-) have been uploaded, I see that the uploaded file size has gone to 0 and that the status in the Transfer Queue indicates (0 MB / 564 MB). So, it starts again. (rinse, repeat).

In short: Argh !

Key Master ID: 400072042

What do you imagine that the dealio is ?

Hello ..

Please download and install the latest version from:
https://www.smartftp.com/download

If the file repeatedly restarts from zero, double click the file in the transfer queue and the log window will open. Then cop&paste the log here.

Mat

Hello Dan ..

The server tells SmartFTP that the file does not exist on the server:
[00:49:53] SIZE Rave-v20.zip
[00:49:53] 550 Rave-v20.zip: No such file or directory

Therefore SmartFTP decides to restart the file.

Mat

Cool.

Thanks.

Can I do something about that, or do I tell the guys at the other end about it ?

Ah the main problem is probably this:
[00:49:53] 552 Transfer aborted. Disk quota exceeded

It means there is no more space on the server/disk. Please contact your web hosting provider.

Mat

Mat, You Are The King !

From the host company:

FTP uploads are limited to 150MB per file.

Actually, it works out for the best:

I learned that my Smart FTP Client is a lot smarter than my previous clients - re: uploading folders vs. files only, and several other things.

Thanks.
