SmartFTP advised me recently to update the program, for money. So I paid: why not? It seemed to be a good program.
Ever since it has become a nightmare to transfer files to my server. Before, it always worked, intantaneously, as long as the Internet was working. Slow, when the Internet was slow, but it worked.
Eventually, I seem to get through, and once a connection is established, it seems to stay on. But until then - why, I may have to wait an hour or two. This is not reasonable!
It can't be a password problem, since eventually I get through. My internet is working. Here is the log from a current file transfer:

So, what's up?
Don't blame my server company, the transfers always worked before I "updated" your program. Or my Internet speed - it didn't seem to be a problem before.
Ever since it has become a nightmare to transfer files to my server. Before, it always worked, intantaneously, as long as the Internet was working. Slow, when the Internet was slow, but it worked.
Eventually, I seem to get through, and once a connection is established, it seems to stay on. But until then - why, I may have to wait an hour or two. This is not reasonable!
