24 Hour time format

Is it possible to have the file time displayed in 24 hour format like 16.30 instead of 4.30 on Smartftp client?

thanks

Hello ..

SmartFTP should use the time format you have configured in the "Date and Time" settings in your computer's control panel. If this is not the case please post a screenshot from the Date and Time settings and a screenshot what SmartFTP displays. Thank you.

Mat

Please post a screenshot from the "Regional and Language Options" settings in the Control Panel where the date/time format is defined. Also post the raw directory listing from the directory you posted the screenshot before.

I'm unable to reproduce the problem. The date/time is displayed in the correct format. Do you have the latest version of SmartFTP installed? Menu: Help->About "System Information"

Hello ..

As you can see from the listing the server does not return the time in the 24h format and it also omits the AM/PM suffix.

It means SmartFTP doesn't know the exact time. I recommend you to use a server software which supports MLSD. E.g. almost any modern FTP server today does that (e.g. Gene6, Serv-u, etc).

Mat

Sorry but I don't think that "change your server and keep our client" is a perfect answer.
Plus if I try the same connection with an opensource software li Filezilla it returns the 24h format, how can it do that?
regards

Andrea

Please provide proofs of your claims.

For your convenience here is the log and the MDTM reply:

[17:06:07] CWD /davide/shot_graph
[17:06:07] 250 "/davide/shot_graph/" CWD command successful.

Raw Listing

MDTM Reply
[17:06:12] MDTM HOME1.jpg
[17:06:12] 213 20080128153440

As you can see the correct time returned by MDTM is 15:34:40 but the server returns it as 03:34 in the raw directory listing.

Regarding your screenshot. If you have looked at it you would have noticed that the date/time is wrong in most cases.

I consider this case closed.

Mat
