Email notification

I have just purchased SmartFTP v3.0.1012.17 and am having a problem with the email notification on queue complete settings.
I have ticked the box on transfer queue complete
I have entered my email address into the email settings, from box
I have entered the email address I want to send to
In the SMTP settings box I have entered the host name
Login plaintext
and then the username and password

I then get the error message that SmartFTP has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Can someone please give me an example of the settings I should fill in.
Thanks

Hello ..

When exactly do you get the crash? Right after you have entered the settings or after the first item in the transfer queue completed?

Mat

After I have entered all the information, I then hit "send test email", after a few seconds I get the error message.

I got the error. Bug fix will be in the next build (1-2 days).
Thank you for reporting it.

Mat

Thanks Mat,
I will download and test again.

Mat,
Sorry about this but I must be doing something wrong. When I press "send test email" I now get the message "failed to send email"
Here are the settings I am filling in:-
Notification -
I have ticked the on transfer queue complete box

Email Settings -
From - I have entered my email address
To - I have entered the email address I want to send to

SMTP settings -
Host - I have typed " mail.(company name).co.uk " also tried " https://mail.(company name).co.uk "
Port 25
Authentication - login (plaintext)
user - here I have typed in my own login username and also tried administrator
Password - here I have typed the relevant password for the username used

When I press send test email I get the above error.
If I try downloading a file after having typed in these settings, I don't get an error message but the email is not sent either.
Can you please look at the settings I have used and see if you can spot an error on my part.
Thanks
Ricky

Hello ..

For the host enter. mail.company name.co.uk and do not enter the http:// prefix.

Try another authentication method until the Send Test Email function returns success.

Mat

Success, it actually works with authentication set to none.
