2 Vista machines 1 won't resolve host name

I have two side by side vista machines. 1 is vista business with smartfTP 2.0 with trend micro internet security pro and the othe is vista home premium with smartftp 3.0 and norton internet security. I have idential addresses, login and password, same port (21). On the home premium machine with smartFtp 3.0 I can't resolve the host name. When I click on the link for resolving host name I get a pop up window that says sever busy and it has a switch to and retry button.

When I click Switch To my start menu pops up. I can't close the window. In Task Manager when shutting down the program it tells me the program is waiting on a response.

Problem 1 is I can't resolve a valid host name.
Problem 2 is this issue with the server busy window.

I really only care about problem 1.

Any help or ideas are appreciated.

Thank you. I do not really understand what you are saying. You get a "unable to resolve host" error but you can still login?

With Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer I can go to ftp://cypressinland.com and when i enter the user name and password I can log in.

With SmartFTP I get an unable to resolve at the same address.

ftp://cypressinland.com is not a correct host name. Please use cypressinland.com and try again.
