Win64/Vista - Dragging Error from transfer queue to local explorer

Hello,

I am noticing an error on Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit edition using your latest version (64-bit). If I drag an object from the server to the transfer queue, the object (folder or file, but folder in my test case) shows in the transfer queue properly. If I then drag that object from the transfer queue to a local folder using the integrated local view explorer, then in that folder I see an ojbect called "SOFTPDROP". The contents is not the object. Obviously, SmartFTP does not handle the drop from the transfer queue to the local explorer properly.

Please help and thank you in advance,

Sarah Marci Weinberger

Hi,

1. The problem still persists. I might add that the object stays in the transfer queue. I forgot to mention that the last time.

2. You had me downgrade from the 64-bit to the 32-bit version. At least I verified for SmartFTP that both versions exhibit the same behavior.

Let me know the next step in the debugging process,

Sarah

Hello ..

1. Uninstall all versions of SmartFTP you have installed.
2. Reboot your system
3. Download and install SmartFTP from:
https://www.smartftp.com/Products/Client/
Select the SFTPMSI.exe from the x86 folder if you want the 32-bit version
Select the SFTPMSI.exe from the x64 folder if you want the 64-bit version
4. Reboot your system

SmartFTP

Hi Matt,

No go. I did as requested and the problem still exists. I still see a new folder with the XXXDROP label rather than the actual object. Don't forget I am using SmartFTP on Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit edition here.

Sarah

Hello ..
Please post the system information again.

Did you reboot after the installation?
