Timestamp

I need to have FTP server time stamped to the files I upload there. After I DISable the "keep file time" option , the results are the same as with it ENabled. I did restart the software after making the switch.
FOLDER that are created do get re-stamped to current time, but folder content not. My sys-admin automatically filters out 30-day old data files for keeping the free space up , but my data is older than that. Short of altering my data on line , I suspect there is a problem with the switch.

Hello ...

Your FTP server must support the MDTM command to set the file time. Most FTP servers only have support to get the file time but not to set it. This is probably the case in your situation.

Hello!

I have just the opposite problem. I would like to preserve my date stamps for files I upload. I have the setting for Keep File Time enabled, but it restamps them to the upload time anyway. Is there another little something I've overlooked?

Thanks!

MrSquid: Your server doesn't support timestamping of files.
