so i just purchased a license for what seemed like a nice ftp client, but trying to access an ftp
site that is mac os from my winxp pro machine, i connect but can see no file or folders. i looked at article 048 in the knowledge base, which recommended unchecking boxes in the settings > transfer section,
which i did, after which smart ftp just stalls and then crashes. i had to restart it, close remote browsers, re-check the boxes, before it'll work without crashing. it crashed repeatedly with those boxes unchecked.

i can see the ftp site contents when i connect via firefox

i see there's no way to contact support for this smart ftp outfit. excellent.

i'd appreciate help. meanwhile, i'm installing wsftp. i wish i could get my money back.

Hello..

Please install the latest version from
https://www.smartftp.com/download

Then please post the system information you can find the help: About "System Information" dialog.

If you still see it crashing please post the raw directory listing of the directory in question. Right click on it and select 'Show Raw Directory Listing".

Regards,
-Mat

OK I installed the new version, and it doesn't crash now. But after connecting to the ftp site I still cannot see any content there (even tho I can upload to the topmost directory there - which I know because using WSFTP for file transfers I can see everything there).
