Cannot log in

I have registered as a user today and tried to enter to publish my web page. Now. It doesn't accept my password. I have tried with username/password from my supplier, then username/password from SmartFTP then username from supplier and password from SmartFTP - each time the result is the same: username ok but password no good. What should I do?

Hello ..

Please post the complete log of your FTP session.

The username/password/host information is provided by your web hosting provider. This is the company which usually owns and manages the servers on the internet where your web site is hosted.

-Exactly. I do not understand what did I do wrong. Why it says "Password required" since I have given it?

Hello ..

Yep it seems the username/password you have is wrong. Please contact the technical support of your web hosting proivder. They can sort the problem out.

Hi again!

There is something mysterious going on. My service provider can log in with my password and username but I cannot. It seem to reject my IP. They say they cannot help me and would be happy to know as well whats wrong. Here is the latest report. What can I do to get in? I lknow for sure that I have put information they ask in the way it should be - or otherwise I cannot anymore trust nor my eyes nor my computers copying abilities.

Now I seem to be booted out as a user. What 's going on? Why does this system reject my login trials? Service provider has raised their hands up already - cannot help.

I know it says this, but how come service provider can log in? My sys will try from her computer tomorrow and then there will be one more evidence if she manage to log in. And YES, I did write/paste them right. This is so weird! I hope you take this seriously.

You can try the following:

Download and install the latest version to make sure you have the newest build:
https://www.smartftp.com/download

Then go to Menu: File->New Remote Browser.

Then enter all your information and click OK to connect.

The port you have entered (25) is very likely wrong. Try Port 21 instead of 25. You should get the correct information from your webhosting provider.

There is a problem with your account on the server. Please contact the server administrator or your web hosting provider.
