Cannot upload e-book

I have been trying to upload an e-book to my website, with no success. The message I get is "transfer complete" then "transfer failed". Below that is # 553 "the name specified is not allowed". I have tried uploading as a regular file as well as a zip file. I have uploaded another e-book to be sure it is working, and it transfered ok.
