Suggestion for SmartFTP MSI Installer

The MSI Installer should remove the

SmartFTP Setup Files directory after succesful installattion

The user should also have the possibility to define the installation directory of SmartFTP

I second your suggestions, but why don't you use the NSI installer instead? It is both smaller and already fulfills your suggestions.

is the content of both installers the same?

of course. MSI installers tend to be larger in general because of their internal database-like structure and lack of good compression.

thanks in this case I will use the Nullsoft Installer in future

Why isn't the NSIS installer use by default, if it has so much more advantages over the MSi installer?

good question, i don't know. maybe mb just likes ms ... ;-) i'm using the alternate nsi installer for years without any of the trouble people experience with the msi installer.
