WinGate Proxy & FTP Server not on Port 21 fails to conne

I am unable to connect to an FTP Server running on a port other than 21 when using a WinGate Proxy Server. The same configuration works if the FTP server is running on port 21. Connecting through WinGate on an alternate port works with WISE-FTP Client.

SmartFTP is the current development version, 1.5.991.14.
WinGate Proxy version is 6.1.0 (build 1068).
FTP Server is Serv-U 6.1.0.1.

Proxy Server Internal IP is 192.168.0.1 and it is running on port 8021.

I tried both the "USER user@host" and "USER user@host:port" proxy types.

All 3 systems (all Win2K) are running as a virtual machine team under VMWare Workstation 5.
