Auto Dial does not work

I have just installed SmartFTP V1.5.990 and setup some files to upload in the Global Queue. I have setup Auto Dial with my dial-up account. When I hit Start or config the Queue Timer the dialer never starts. SmartFTP is trying to upload but has no connection. I am running Win XP Pro and have administrator rights. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
