Can not resolve IPv6 address

Updated to the version 1.5 988 and can not connect to ipv6 ftp. Program points out that it could not resolve IPv6 address. (Connecting with IE6 to IPv6 is no problem at all) With IPv4 address there is no problem eather, connects with out any problem!

Droped 1.5 version and reversed to version 1.1 8O and IPv6 runs superb !

Yep. Looks like a bug. I will look into it and post a fix.

Are you trying to resolve an ip address or a host name to an ip address?

Can you post the log of your FTP session?

After changing the Settings->Connection "Protocol Preference" to IPv6 the host name is sucessfully resolved to IPv6 IP address.

[17:40:15] SmartFTP v1.5.988.32
[17:40:15] Resolving host name "ftp.ring.gr.jp"
[17:40:15] Connecting to [3ffe:501:5267:48::10] Port: 21

Another test showed that SmartFTP can sucessfully connect to a IPv6 ip:

[20:05:48] Resolving host name "[fe80::211:43ff:fe78:3b65%4]"
[20:05:48] Connecting to [fe80::211:43ff:fe78:3b65%4] Port: 22
[20:05:48] Connected to [fe80::211:43ff:fe78:3b65%4].
[20:05:48] 220 Ready for new login
[20:05:48] USER anonymous

actually I tried both, hostname and IP. I will try out your solution. I will post soon.

this setting is quite familiar.... How didn't I noticed that in first place.
