Drag / Drop file to desktop defaults to top left of screen

When dragging / dropping a file from SFTP to the desktop the icon position defaults to the top left of the default monitor regardless of where it was dropped.

In any other application when a file is dropped on the desktop, the icon stays where dropped... this is particularly annoying in a multi screen evnironment where the second monitor is used for actions like this but SFTP insists that it must go top left resulting in having to shift windows out of the way to get to it... bug or design??

Hello.

Unfortunately its by design. When you are about to drop a "file" to the desktop, nothing is actually dropped. You are drag&dropping a fake file to the desktop. Once you drop it the SmartFTP hook (SmartHook.dll) just tells SmartFTP in what folder you dropped the file. A new file is created in this destination folder but the position where it should show up on the desktop is lost.

ummmm, then to get around that, create a folder in position on the desktop and drop to the folder... I see.
