Failling installationprocedure (update) with ver. 1.983.13

While trying to update my version of SmartFTP from 1.982.18 to 1.983.13 the installation failed. After several retryings and trying to update with the "Full version", I keep getting following massage:

"05.11.2004 22:46:20 (Error ) Product: SmartFTP -- Error 1723. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action CAGetLicenseInfo, entry: GetLicenseKeyInfo, library: c:windowsTEMPMSIE0A5.TMP"

It seems that there are missing an DLL-file for installation procedure to finish with succes.

Can anybody help me?

P.S. In my effort to resolve the problem, I have tried to reinstall Windows Installer ver. 2.0, but gets the message that this component is allready located at the system. So it can't be that.

Thank you for reporting.

I know that then You say "expect update soon" - really means it.

In the meantime, you can use the NSI installer instead (which doesn't require the Windows Installer Runtime). Get it from the link in my footer.

Thank You MB.

The new enhanced version You and Your team has published is working fine. The installationproblems has disapeared.

And as allways when You say ASAP You really means ASAP!

Thank You.
