ftp connect causes program to hang

I have used smart ftp for a long time. Everything works very well. Today I updated to 1.0.982 and I can connect to the local browser but when connecting to ftp it hangs. I had to reboot twice but it still does nothing?

Is there a fix for this issue? I see in the forum that a few people have posted a similar issue and womder if you are preparing a patch?

If not, is there a way for me to go back to the previous version that was working fine?

Thanks

Delete the SmartFTP registry key as suggested in other threads in this forum.

I deleted the program, downloaded again from your web site and reinstalled. Now it works.

To be honest, as a paying customer, I really don't expect to be spending a lot of time figuring out where to find bug fixes. I looked for what you are suggesting and didn't find it. Why don't you just tell me where the fix note is rather than telling me to dig for it?

It's just not good support etiquette to expect every user to be an expert like you are on the software.

Searching the support forum to see whether a certain bug / solution already exists has nothing to do with being a software expert. It's just faster for both sides: The customer doesn't have to wait for an answer because there already is one, and the developers can concentrate on developing rather than answering the same questions over and over again.
