[FIXED] Preserve case option doesn't work

All files i download from my ftp are converted to lowercase. No problem with uploaded files.
I've got the problem for many versions (i'm currently using latest beta).

Very annoying because it prevents from making ftp backup

But we'll consider adding a feature in the future to change the filename for downloads.

Yes, it would be nice. And It works with other ftp programs

I've tried many other programs because of that to replace smartFTP ... but it's too hard : SmartFTP is the best, not so easy to replace 8)

Just wanted to know if the "problem" is still here or if it has been fixed
I really miss SmartFTP

When downloading files the filenames are not tempered by SmartFTP.

What's exactly the problem with SmartFTP? Why doesn't it allow you to make backup?

And why do you want a case conversation feature for downloads? It doesnt make much sense to me.

Example : IPB forum.
Some sources files are not fully lowercase.

If i backup these files with SmartFTP on my XP system, and if then i have to re-upload the same files : the case has been lost. And the forum doesn't work anymore, as xx.xxx is the same file as xX.xxx on Unix system. That was my problem.

With all other FTP programs i tried, the case doesn't change at any moment (except with option).

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce the problem. I tried it on Windows XP and NTFS. The filenames are preserved.

Test done.

Hosted file : mySQL.php

Result on NTFS partition if downloaded with SmartFTP : mysql.php
(All settings set on 'preserve case')

I've tested with the Global Queue and Direct Download.

What method did you use?

Drag and drop, so i assume direct dowload.
OS : XP Pro SP1

Are you sure you have set the "Post Transfer Action" under "Settings -> Transfer -> Files" to "Preserve Case"?
