Blank Tabs on the taskbar

Every time I start SmartFTP two blank tabs appear permanently on my taskbar. Attempting to close them brings up a warning that Explorer is not responding, and ignoring this indeed kills Explorer. The tabs appear to be harmless, but eat up real estate on my taskbar. If I close and reopen SmartFTP the two tabs remain but no more tabs appear.
Any suggestions as to how to get rid of them?

The problem is very likely not related to SmartFTP.

You can delete the SmartFTP registry key to see if it helps.

Temporarily deleting the registry entry made no difference. However I tracked the problem down to a corrupted shortcut link file. Thanks for the quick response.[/quote]
