w98 crash (strictly speaking not a bug)

This is strictly speaking not a bug, but I tried to run the current version on w98 and it made a spectacular crash.

Perhaps the installation could be made to prevent people from installing on w98.

It would only require a windows version check and a message preventing the installation, but it would save a lot of futile attempts.

Well, I did not really expect it to work, but I gave it a try anyway as it would have been convenient if it would have worked.
Come to think about it, perhaps an old and unsupported w98 compatible version could be kept somewhere for legacy use at own risk?

SmartFTP works on Windows 98 SE (with all updates) on our test system. We are aware that it doesn't work on some but for the majority it does.
