Progress bar not updating in this version

On a previous version of SmartFTP it showed a progress bar. However, since I've upgraded, a progress bar doesn't exit.

What I've noticed is that when I pull files back from a unix system, it doesn't seem to recognize the "SIZE" in the display, probably used for the progress bar.

I tried size xxx.log on a command line but it didn't work.

I received the following message:
size: xxx.log: invalid file type

What does SIZE prompt on the far end? Is there a way to correct this either via unix or smartftp? Why would it work on a prior version of SmartFTP?

Here are the details...

Please post the raw directory listing from the following directory:
/home
Also include the log which shows the raw directory listing.

To get the raw directory listing, right-click on the folder/director then select "Show Raw Listing" from the context menu.

Thank you.

Mat,

Was the above the information you were looking for? Let me where else I can help!

Hello ..

Yes it was useful. I wrote you a personal message (PM) and asked you if you could provide us with a test account on the mentioned server as we are not able to find the problem in the code.

Thank you.
Regards,
-Mat

Hi Mat,

Strange, I didn't/don't see a PM...

Unfortunately, I don't have admin privilages.

Maybe I can help further. What does SmartFTP echo to to determine the file size? I

s it the command 'size'? Are there alternate commands or options, that Sun could use?

Hello ..

Your server doesn't support therefore SmartFTP gets the file size information from the directory listings.
[16:00:12] Obtaining file information (size/date) from directory listing.

That's why I have asked you for the raw directory listing. It seems that for some reason it cannot find the file in the directory listing returned by the server.

-Mat
