MDTM Can't be disabled

I just downloaded SmartFTP 2.0 and when I tried to send files to a Z/OS machine, the Z/OS machine rejects saying it does not support MDTM. I went into SmartFTP and disable keeping the time options from File options and it still kept sending MDTM. Is there a way to turn off MDTM? I had to go back to using an earlier SmartFTP (Ver 1.1.986.) client to get the files to work with Z/OS.

Please post the complete log of your FTP sesssion.

This is not an HFS file and I'm not trying to transfer an HFS file. From my Z/OS documentation the extensions are only supported for HFS files. So I need to find a way to disable MDTM and SIZE from being used in 2.0 of SmartFTP. I do not have this problem with the backleveled release.

Hello ..

Thanks. But the log is incomplete. It misses the most important information in my opinion. The lines before the SIZE command.

-Mat

Sorry here is the partial log. I left the time stamps in so you can see the 5 lines that were missing. I think my color command over wrote them.

[12:41:26] 125 List started OK

[12:41:26] File size check (SIZE) failed. File not found or permission denied.
[12:41:26] Transfer failed.

Thank you.

Are you using the Transfer Queue or Direct Download?

Also are you sure this is the complete log? Because previously you claimed MDTM is the problem. I do not see a MDTM command in the log. Also the download should continue if the SIZE command is not supported by the server. I think your log still misses some information.

Thank you.

Not sure of the terms Transfer Queue or Direct Download. But if I had to guess, I'd say Direct Download. What I do is have multiple windows open at different sites. I will then drag the files (or pds members) I want from one site to the other. If one of the windows I am dragging to is a local folder on my PC no problems. It is only when dragging to my Z/OS sites that I have a problem.

Ah I see. You are trying to FXP (Server to Server) some files.

Please post the log from both the destination and the source server.

Thank you.
