Runtime Error on Start

I have used SmartFTP for a couple of years, without problems. For some reason, in the past 2-3 weeks i can't run the program and get a runtime error when I try to start the application:

Runtime Error!
Program "C:\Program Files\SmartFTP Client 2.0\SmartFTP.exe"
This application has requeste the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information

I am really bummed out - don't want to switch to another FTP client, but will have to unless someone can help me figure out why it stopped working...

Use the SmartFTP Client Backup Tool and reset all your settings and data files. It can be found in the Windows Start menu under All Programs -> SmartFTP Client -> Tools -> Backup Tool

Great, that fixed it (although i lost my 'Favourites', but that's not such a big deal)

This works, but the error keeps on coming back.

Should you have any further problems always post the detailed version number with a problem description.
