Global queue no longer works after upgrading

Today is a sad day... I'm off to download a different FTP client.

After using SmartFTP for a long, long time and recommending it to my customers as the best FTP software to buy its very dissappointing that I can no longer rely on this tool.

My previous version, which would have been about 8 months old worked flawlessly for me. I was basically forced to upgrade to this current version and well what can I say... it sucks.

When I drag a folder from a Site window into the Queue Source, then drag it to a Local folder for downloading, it downloads the first couple of files OK, then it sits there and does nothing... waiting waiting... does another file or two etc etc...

After waiting forever all I'm left with is some files that have downloaded successfully and some that are only half finished!!! All the while SmartFTP tells me that everything is OK!

Here's one of the unsuccessful logs:

My big question is... why is it that the old program worked flawlessly and this version doesn't. Why wouldn't it tell me that it had a problem downloading the file. Why do I have to hunt through log files to see if this software actually downloaded my file correctly.

Anyway... that's my rant over with, I'm off to download something that actually works.

OK, I'll give it a shot and report back.
