Problem with uploading

I think this isn't the right place to ask but I'm having trouble uploading to any FTP server outside my local network with any client and I don't know what the problem could be.
It seemed to start when I got a new router/modem.

already tried and doesn't work

Have you also tried to connect in active mode?
