Resumable FTP using SmartFTP Client over VSAT Link

We are evaluating Trial version of SmartFTP Client 1.5.990.2 over VSAT links 128 kbps by uploading the files using resumable feature to a HP-UX 11.0 ftp server, The resumable FTP functionality of the client works perfectly but the files being uploaded gets corrupt if connection is disconnected/times out/system is restarted. We tried uploading ZIP Files also and after completion of the upload we can open the ZIP file but while extracting the Data/Binary file from the ZIP we encounter error.

Any help will be appreciated. Our company is planning to buy your product if this test is successful.

Hi, have you tryed to upload something to another ftp and broke the connection and resume to test if it works ok?

You may want to increase the resume rollback value in the Settings->Transfer.

Will try using Resume Rollback option.

We tried using the Resume Rollback option after setting it to 65536 bytes (64 KB), on a 128 Kbps link with 100-300 ms delay. But didn't help the files are still corrupt if the connection is broken and FTP is resumed.

Will changing the setting in registry for TcpRecieveWindowSize (TCP/IP Property) will help resolve the issue of getting corrupt file when using Resumable Option or if there is some other option which we can try or calculate the no. of bytes to be specified in "Resume Rollback" based on some formula.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello...

I doubt changing these settings will affect it. The problem seems to be with the network hardware (router, wlan card, etc) involved. It's definitively not with the client applications.
