trouble installing

When I try to start SmartFTP for the first time after installing, I get an error message "The SMARTFTP.EXE file is linked to missing export SHLWAPI.DLL:PathUnExpandEnvStringsW." Restarting, uninstall/reinstalling and using the repair function through Add/Remove programs have not had any effect. (Windows 98 second edition)

ampants: Install Internet Explorer 5.x or higher and make sure the unicows.dll is in the SmartFTP application directory.

Thanks, it's working now. I was using IE 5 - still got the same error after downloading unicows.dll into the SmartFTP folder, so I upgraded to IE 6 & had no problems after that - don't know if it was the change to IE 6 or just the restart that did it...
