smartftp waiting to retry!!!!

Hi ,

I used to download & upload with smart-ftp client but I faced this problem for the first time .....It does not working anymore..
the status shows that it is idle and waiting to retry
I checked the server ,password,user name and the port number and all of it is right.
the log says...
A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.
Client closed the connection.

I read the active help but nothing change ...what can i do
