can't connect for first time

Hey, I'm new to this stuff, I downloaded latest version successfully, but can't connect. I watched the tutorials and I am confused about connecting. How do I find a ftp address for the address bar, and is my username and password the same as the login info for this forum page. Please help, thanks, Eric.

No, the username and password are not the same as for this forum, and *you* have to know the server address you want to connect to. If you don't know any FTP sevrer to connect to, you simply don't need an FTP client
This is just as with your e-mail program, only you should know the server, username and password to connect to, to get your mail.
