Crash on Exit

I am evaluating SmartFTP for our company to replace 50 licenses of WinFTP. The copy I have is version 1.5.988 downloaded from here.

The program work well but everytime I close it I get an error:

"Smart FTP encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"

Details are:

AppName: smartftp.exe AppVer: 1.5.988.21 ModName: comctl32.dll
ModVer: 6.0.2900.2180 Offset: 000896a3

Any ideas?

Hi, try downloading the beta build from my signature to see if it fixes your trouble.

What OS are you using where you experience this problem?

The first thing to do is to install the latest build from:
https://www.smartftp.com/download

If it still crashes and you can reproduce it we can easily fix it.

The dev version (989) seems to fix the issue. I will continue testing.

Mine does this as well on two computers I use it on, one at home and one at work. It has been doing it for quite some time now, maybe longer than a month now. I download every beta and full release that hits BetaNews and it still does it. I send the error report every time it comes up. While the app is open it works flawlessly, just crashes on closing.

All I have to do is open the app, press license reminder ok, press close in any matter (red X, FTP > Exit, Right click tray > exit), it closes and then I get an error popup.

It seems to be hard to reproduce it: when I had this bug, SFTP was uploading at more than 100 KB/s in global queue. I close, the window disappears and 2 or 3 seconds after, the crash occurs. But I try to reproduce it with different configuration (global queue running/stopped, uploads and/or downloads, with the same applications running or alone...) and I can reproduce it again. It many vary on the state of one or more connections in global queue (last command send, starting/ending transfers...). The delay between the main window desappears and the crach occurs may indicate some processing...

If this can help you. I will try again to find a way to reproduce it...
