I have been using SmartFTP for a while without problems.
Recently, however, I have been working on creating my own phpBB2 forum.
Up and downloading takes longer than usual and I have been having the following problem:
When uploading, downloading or doing anything like deleting files or renaming or even browsing through my folders on the server, my computer slows down to almost standstill. It is so bad, that I cannot even navigate with my mouse, nevermind do anything else.
It is definately due to SmartFTP, because my computer comes right immediately when I disconnect SmartFTP or stop the connection.
I have an AMD 64 3500+ with 1024 MB dual DDR ram and everything else is fast too. It shows that it is pulling 100% cpu power, but this is not supposed to be. I even set its priority down in my Windows Task Manager.
Please help.
