Won't log in

It says 'resolving host name'. If you need a screenshot let me know. I was having troubles with my computer anyways, so I system restored. It fixed all other programs, but FTP remains conflicted.
Any ideas?

If SmartFTP can't resolve the hostname to an IP, check your DNS server settings.

Okay thankyou! Now how would I check that?

Open a command prompt and type
ping www.smartftp.com
Does that work? And please post SmartFTP's full connection log.

I did the command prompt. Now I get

    SmartFTP v1.5.988.47



    Resolving host name "cupcakecandy.com"



    Connecting to 207.210.68.50 Port: 21



    No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.



    Client closed the connection.



    Cannot login waiting to retry (30s)...

Have you looked at the active help link? Do you have any firewalls running (e.g. Windows XP's)? If so, disable them temporarily and try again.
